Designed for floating floor materials, QuietWalk’s recycled filaments are specially processed to cushion the floor, absorbing sound and reducing unwanted noise. This helps make floating floors sound more like fastened wood and helps to keep sound from traveling to other rooms. Although it can be installed over wood or concrete subfloors, QuietWalk can manage moisture that surfaces in the form of vapors that naturally come up from concrete subfloors with its exclusive DriWick™ technology.
Flooring underlayment adds many benefits to your floor, even with pad-attached flooring. Pad-attached flooring offers a great start to protection and insulation but with QuietWalk underlayment your floor gets the full protection it deserves.

Anti-Microbial Treated Fibers
Perfect For Pad-Attached
When installed properly, QuietWalk’s fibers can manage moisture that surfaces in the form of vapors from concrete floors effectively. The fibers allow concrete to “breathe” never allowing vapors to become bulk moisture under floating floors. The attached vapor barrier protects the overlying flooring from harmful moisture. Fibers are treated with a safe anti-microbial to
inhibit mold and mildew.
QuietWalk underlayment will absorb and allow dispersion throughout the pad with water moisture accumulations not exceeding one gallon per 24 hrs per 300 square feet of underlayment and/or allowed to continue to accumulate for more than 7 days. Actual in-house tests have shown results up to 5 times that amount.
BenefitsFilaments are randomly air-laid creating a capillary affect to cushion the floor, absorb sound, and help make floors sound more like real wood.
This method is designed to measure the impact sound transmission performance of a floor-ceiling assembly in a controlled laboratory
environment.
The sound-insulating property of a partition element is
expressed in terms of the sound transmission loss.
