The Bellawood Platinum Underlayment offers a universal product usage. It’s great for all floating floors including laminates with pre-attached pad and engineered hardwood. In addition, it can be used with nail-down and glue-down flooring.
Underlayment is the brawn behind your floor, giving it the strength to perform better and last longer, even with pad-attached planks. This is due to it’s unique uncrushable design, vapor barrier and uninterrupted, coverage that regular planks or pad-attached can’t offer. With Bellawood Platinum underlayment, you can enjoy your floors knowing they have the full protection and insulation they deserve.

Perfect For Pad-Attached
When installed properly, Bellawood Platinum’s recycled fibers can manage moisture vapor that can surfaces from concrete subfloors, allowing the concrete to “breathe”. This helps to prevent vapors from becoming bulk moisture while the aluminum infused vapor barrier on Bellawood Platinum protects the overlying flooring from the harmful moisture, providing the best water vapor protection! Fibers are treated with a safe antimicrobial to inhibit mold and mildew.
Bellawood Platinum Underlayment™ will absorb and allow dispersion throughout the pad with water moisture accumulations not exceeding one gallon per 24 hrs per 300 square feet of product and/or allowed to continue to accumulate for more than 7 days. Actual in-house tests have shown results up to 5 times that amount.
BenefitsBellawood Platinum’s pad is constructed from randomly air-laid filaments to create a capillary effect to cushion the floor, absorb sound, and help make floors sound more like real wood.
This method is designed to measure the impact sound
transmission performance of a floor-ceiling assembly in a controlled
laboratory environment.
This method measures the sound-insulating property” abrupt transition of a partition element is
expressed in terms of the sound transmission loss.
Impact sound test that more directly evaluates acoustic performance properties of underlayments based on the difference of acoustical performance with the entire flooring assembled on top of the subfloor and of the sub-floor only.
